UWA-USA TEACHER AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

United World College-USA (UWC-USA) has an exciting opportunity for citizen diplomats interested in teaching in China. With the Teacher Ambassador Program (TAP), Americans can make a difference (in and out of the classroom), earn a great income, travel and experience a new culture.

TAP trains Americans as high school instructors and ambassadors of the American style of teaching for magnet schools in 13 Chinese cities, as well as preparing them for a range of optional opportunities to engage their classroom in community service activities that are meaningful, realistic and culturally appropriate.

Selected teachers will be provided free, modern lodging, a high salary by Chinese standards, and will teach, in English, subjects like Math, Science and English (language and literature). The program is run by UWC-USA, part of a network of schools across the globe that brings thousands of students from different countries to learn, build bonds and work towards a peaceful future, in collaboration with the Ameson Foundation, a NY-based nonprofit that operates educational exchanges in China.

Space is limited, so learn more or apply now: Teacher Ambassador Program. Early bird deadline for applications is June 15, 2011.
