Iraqi Young Leader Exchange Program 2018

12 high school students and one facilitator from Iraq stayed with American families of Helena community for two weeks in July 2018.  The first IYLEP was hosted by WorldMontana in 2018.  THis year the topic of the program was ” Piece-building and Community Resilience”.

Eight teens arrive from Mexico Monday, July 19 to study substance abuse prevention.  The program is coordinated by WorldMontana and sponsored by U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and World Learning. Youth Ambassador Program 2016

Megan Lamach, a 16-year-old sophomore at Capital High School in Helena, Montana, has been selected as a Youth Ambassador to spend three weeks in Brazil. She will participate in workshops and work with Brazilian students and mentors. The Youth Ambassadors Program is conducted by World Learning and funded by the United States Department of State and United States Embassy in Brazil. Megan is looking forward to participating in the program and will be gone from April 23 – May 14.
